Why The Yamaha Generator Is Liked By Motorhome Owners!We purchased a Yamaha generator for our home because we seem to have become susceptible to black-outs these days. Why Yamaha? Well, it was nearly a Honda, but we decided in the end that Yamaha seemed to offer just that little extra, plus we did get a great deal that was hard to resist. The model we settled on was their EF30iseB, which offers their inverter technology together with super quiet running. The "B" denotes that it is their "Boost" model which provides a little extra power when it is needed, such as starting an air-conditioner. The normal 3000 watt output is increased to 3500 for 10 seconds by the "boost technology", and together with the other features this has made this particular Yamaha generator extremely well liked by those that own travel trailers or motor homes. We thought the Yamaha generator would be the best one to provide the quality of electricity that we require to run our computers, gadgets with inbuilt micro-processors, TV, DVD player, sound system and so on. We don't want to run an air-conditioner so this unit should be big enough for us. The other feature that we were really sold on was the level of quietness that the Yamaha generator operates on. We were given a demonstration, and even when under a full load the noise was exceptionally quiet. This was a concern because we do have very close neighbors. Evidently this is an area that Yamaha have really focused on and this whole range features the super quiet running technology which is now regarded as the best and quietest in the industry. As standard on the Yamaha generator unit we chose, is also the Smart Throttle which means that the generator automatically adjusts its running to the current load requirement, therefore using less fuel and producing less noise and wear and tear. The electric starting feature is also an added little luxury, so too the wireless remote control starter kit which means that the generator can be started from a distance of up to 150 feet away. Even though this is an extra, we think it is a feature that is well worth having. The other great bonus is that if the Yamaha generator is run in the "Economy Control" function at 1/4 load, it is possible to get up to 20 hours run time before it is necessary to refuel. Of course as you would expect from a Yamaha generator, they have the self protection features such as an oil warning and engine shut off system. This is essential in any generator to prevent engine damage should the oil level drop below safety operating levels. This Yamaha generator is powered by an overhead valve 171cc engine which helps with low oil consumption as well as noise reduction. These engines are also well known for being extremely reliable. It is a good feeling knowing that when the next brown or black-out occurs that we will be ready and waiting. It will at least make our enforced rest a little more interesting knowing that we will at least be able to watch the TV and keep up with what is happening in the world. |
